About the Flash-ripper site
I started this site just as a set of articles about flash—from 'flash standards' to 'known issues', but time was gone, and I realized, that I have to do much more. Therefore, other section of site appeared—'Prototypes', 'Components', 'Personalities', and 'Glossary'. In my opinion, there's not enough flash-devoted professional sites (especially blogs) on Russian. I decided to create a site, that will achieve two goals—first, is to inform people about Flash news and Flash developers, and second—is to inspire other flash developers for creating their own professional sites and blogs about "life, death and Flash MX" :).

In fact, some of posts in my blog are original, and some of them are translated from English; the sources for such kind of posts are Mesh (Thanks, Mike Chambers!), Peter Hall, FlashGuru, Greg Burch, Eric Dolecki, Colin Moock, Robert Penner and others. Best regards, their work is great!

Why this site appeared and why we need more
There are many issues of the day and tasks to do in russian-languaged flash community, and main of them are:

• Many people don't understand the advantages of using and developing components, particularly, using components for creating RIA (rich internet applications).
• Many people even don’t know, what is RIA :(

This is unsatisfactory, and must be changed. Therefore, I am going to work hardly. I want some new sites on Russian to appear — sites, that tells about professional Flash developing. Some of those sites will be created by me, and some... I hope, other developers will help me in helping them, and some sites will be created by others. We must be wise to build the flash future. Moreover, we must keep and help each others. At this time, I maintain the flash-ripper and take part of work on developing the www.ruFlash.org.
